Your Birth Story is Worth Documenting.

I remember the first time I witnessed the birth of a baby. I quietly watched as the seasoned mama calmly breathed through her contractions. As the time of birth approached, her groans during rushes became deep and focused. Adrenaline gripped me as I watched her push her baby into the world. I was awestruck as the new little girl’s mother and father held her close, skin to skin. Not only did I witness the parents bonding with their newest child, but I also observed the connection between the couple, the bond they had that was made stronger and sweeter by creating new life together.

What a gift to be able to help these parents document the growth of their family.

It is a privilege to receive an invitation into another family’s birth space. This is a privilege I do not take lightly. The emotions are raw, an incredible mix of vulnerability, anticipation, and empowerment. The emotions and experiences leading up to a birth are varied and complex. The reasons for documenting such a rapturous event are also varied and complex.

Many parents desire to document their story, whether to share with the world or to privately savor themselves for years to come. I have a passion to help parents tell those birth stories through the art of photography.

Your birth story is unique. I would be honored to help you capture that story.
